A cinematographic portrait of Dutch academic Dr Philomena Essed, professor of critical race, gender and leadership studies at Antioch University (USA). The documentary focusses on the academic journey of Dr. Essed and the national and international impact of her work. Dr. Essed is a pioneer in the Dutch academic world in understanding every day racism.
